About Industries Qatar Q.P.S.C
Industries Qatar Q.P.S.C. was incorporated as a Qatari Public Shareholding Company on April 19, 2003. The registered office is located at P.O. Box 3212, Doha, State of Qatar. Through the group companies, IQ operates in 3 distinct segments: petrochemicals, fertilizer and steel.
The IQ group currently consists of 5 major companies. When Industries Qatar was established in 2003, its portfolio consisted of significant ownership interests in four direct investments: Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), Qatar Fuel Additives Company (QAFAC), Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO), and Qatar Steel Company. Over time, these companies have expanded their operations through investments in subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates, significantly broadening the Group's overall footprint.
QatarEnergy Marketing is the current marketer of Qatar’s regulated petrochemical and fertilizer products, under the issuance of Law No. (9) of 2024. Accordingly, the products of the petrochemical and fertilizer segments are now marketed by QatarEnergy Marketing, which assumed the relevant marketing activities previously performed by Muntajat.
Qatar Steel’s marketing activities have been performed by Qatar Steel since 1st September 2020.
Head Office Functions & Management Structure
QatarEnergy, the largest shareholder, provides all the head office functions for IQ through a comprehensive service level agreement. The operations of the subsidiaries and joint ventures remain independently managed by their respective Boards of Directors and senior management teams.
